Grete DeAngelo is the mother of two boys and a history teacher at MMI Preparatory School, the same independent school from which she earned her high school diploma. She worked as a reporter, fact-checker, researcher, and proofreader after graduating from Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in history.
Her hobbies include reading other women’s fiction, enjoying the great outdoors, and cleaning her house when it gets dusty. Like every other writer, she’s dreamed of being a writer her whole life, but she only recently got around to writing rather than just fantasizing about it.
Being a mom is the best thing ever, but the boys are entering the teen years, so check back with her later on that. DeAngelo lives with her family in northeastern Pennsylvania.

In Giving Myself Away, divorced mother Adrienne Manning is devastated to find out she’s pregnant after messing around with a guy who’s clearly not boyfriend material.
He’s a lonely mortician with a spiteful daughter, and things just happened late one night after a funeral. When Adrienne meets George Freihoffer in a coffee shop to tell him the news, he asks her to get married and promises to take care of her.
Adrienne hasn’t been single long and she doesn’t trust men so easily after Drew, her high school sweetheart turned husband, left her for a perky soccer mom.
Giving Myself Away grabs readers by the heart and guides them through a realistic journey fraught with tough decisions from various perspectives.
